This machine is water damage. After dismantling it, several places are found. It is quite serious to look at the sample water damage.

The washing brush carefully looked at the places of water damage, but found no corrode. The Diode value is normal on the ground, especially Inductor for CPU, was measured to be normal. Next, power-on measurement shows that the power light is orange and there is standby.

Measured PP3V42_G3H VCC 3.42V is normal; PPBUS_G3H VCC 8.6V is normal; Standby PP3V3_S5 VCC 3.3V is normal (PP5V_S4RS3 5V will not be sent out until VCC); Working conditions of SMC pp3v3 _ S5 _ avref _ SMC and SMC _ reset _ l are normal. According to VCC SMC, after receiving SMC_OFF_L, it will also send out PM_PWRBTN_L signal to CPU, which proves that SMC is working, but CPU does not send PM_SLP_S4_L to start VCC such as PP5V_S4RS3 and memory, which proves that CPU is not working.The next step is to check the standby working conditions of CPU.

This condition is normal. 5.SLP_SUS#: When PCH gets VCCDSW3_3 and DPWROK, it will send PM_SLP_SUS_L to open SUS VCC. 6.VCCSUS:U8020 receives EN of P3V3SUS_EN converted by PM_SLP_SUS_L, and then generates PP3V3 _ SUS, which gives VCCSUS3 and VCCSPI VCC of the bridge module.Back to U6100 BIOS chip VCC, which is normal all the way. 7. RSMRST#: After PP3V3_SUS is generated, PM_RSMRST_L will be generated to CPU after the second pin of U8130 detects that it is normal. This condition is normal. At this point, the working conditions of the CPU are basically satisfied. Recalling that the CPU has been flooded, I threw the board into the oven first. Take out the motherboard and disassemble the CPU.

After removing it, I carefully read the water damage part, and there are indeed traces of water damage.

Apple’s board is not marked, so before disassembling the CPU, it can be positioned by gently marking around the CPU, which is convenient to align the welding CPU again.
